AFC Bournemouth left back Charlie Daniels has admitted that he is frustrated on the sidelines following a foot injury.
The Cherries left back suffered an injured foot in the FA Cup draw at the DW Stadium against Premier League side Wigan Athletic last month.
He initially played through the pain barrier, making appearances in the next four fixtures, but was eventually forced to sit out the home game against Crewe and has not featured since.
A recent visit to a specialist for a second opinion has ruled Daniels out for a minimum of two weeks, but if the injury fails to heal, then Daniels will have to have an operation to fix the problem which would rule him out for the remainder of the season.
Daniels told the Daily Echo…
“Frustrating is the main word. I am not the greatest watcher in the world anyway. But it is what it is and you just have to get on with it.
“The lads are doing really well at the minute. It is all going in the right direction.”
“Hopefully, if it settles down in the next two weeks, I can avoid the operation.”
