AFC Bournemouth have officially completed the transfer of Leyton Orient’s Charlie Daniels and have had a second bid for Swindon’s Matt Ritchie rejected.

Left Back Charlie Daniels joins the Cherries initially on loan and will then sign a three and a half year deal, once the move is made permanent in the January transfer window.

The transfer is reportedly worth around £200,000 plus a sell-on fee.

The Cherries have also had a second bid for 22 year old Swindon Town midfielder Matt Ritchie rejected.

Sky Sports initially linked Ritchie to a loan switch with a view to a permanent move to Dean Court this (Thursday) morning, however the Swindon Advertiser quickly reported that the Cherries initial bid was rejected as it ‘falls considerably short of the club’s valuation of the player’.

This afternoon BBC Radio Wiltshire’s Twitter reported the rejected bid was ‘nearly £250,000’.

The Daily Echo also via Twitter then reported that AFC Bournemouth had submitted an improved bid for the former Portsmouth trainee, but that second bid also failed, with AFC Bournemouth confirming via the social networking site…

“The Cherries have failed in their bid to bring Matt Richie to the Seward Stadium. The clubs could not agree a fee for the player
