AFC Bournemouth full back Charlie Daniels found the 4-0 thumping of Premier League rivals Middlesbrough ‘pleasing’.

With Middlesbrough battling against dropping back down to the Football League after one season in the top flight, the Cherries easily brushed aside the challenge.

Joshua King opened the scoring after just 96 seconds and from there, Benik Afobe, Marc Pugh and Charlie Daniels rounded off the scoring in a one sided game.

The three points lifts AFC Bournemouth to 12th in the Premier League table, seven points clear of the relegation places.

Daniels told afcb.co.uk

‘We knew that we needed to start aggressively because it was a very important game for us and for them as well, We wanted to be on the front foot and we did that right from the off.’

‘We did that straight away and scored in the second minute and then after they had a man sent off it was a very professional performance.

‘To win 4-0 is very pleasing.’

..no we’re not blah blah.

Do yourselves a favour. Go and book your summer holiday knowing another PL season is assured.

Hull, Boro, et al are not going to turn in to Barcelona the next few games.

1st game prediction. Leicester home.

Top performance against a side who ain’t coming back to the PL for a while.
