AFC Bournemouth are now reportedly interested in two players from Championship side Brentford.

Earlier this summer, the Cherries had a rumoured bid of £10million rejected for Brentford defender Chris Mepham.

The Wales International has been a long-term target for Cherries manager Eddie Howe, having previously been linked with a move during the January transfer window.

Considering how long the Cherries have shown an interest in Mepham, it’s not inconceivable that another approach could be made before the start of the 2018/19 Premier League campaign and West London Sport also believe this to be the case, having stated that…

(AFC Bournemouth) remain keen on his Brentford team-mate Chris Mepham.

Bournemouth have had two bids for Mepham rejected and are still hoping to agree a deal to sign the Hammersmith-born Wales defender, who impressed after breaking into the first team last season.

But the same report also suggests that AFC Bournemouth have joined Crystal Palace in the race to sign Brentford forward Ollie Watkins.

The 22-year-old scored 10 goals in 45 Championship appearances last season following his £1.8million move from Exeter City.

Like Mepham, Brentford do not want to sell Watkins and it would take a huge offer for them to consider letting him go.

Could the Cherries line up a huge double bid for the pair?
