An AFC Bournemouth XI will face a Bristol Rovers XI this (Tuesday) afternoon at 1pm.

The game will either be played at Dean Court or the clubs new training pitches next to the Goldsands Stadium in Kings Park. The decision will be announced via Twitter this morning.

AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is keen to keep the majority of his squad sharp despite some of them not featuring regularly for the first team so Shwan Jalal, Donal McDermott and Lorenzo Davids are all expected to feature.

Richard Hughes and Frank Demouge could also be involved following their recent injuries, whilst on loan striker Brett Pitman could also play in a bid to improve his match fitness.

Christchurch youngster Harry Cornick who joined the club on trial this week could also get a run out, the winger has recently had interest from Premier League clubs Stoke City, Southampton, Fulham and Reading.

Howe told the Daily Echo

“We had a reserve game a few weeks ago but I think it is important that the lads have enough football so when they get their opportunity in the team, they are sharp enough to take it.”
