AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe told afcb.co.ukโฆ
โWe wanted tougher games this pre-season and I think that is reflected in our schedule,โ
โOn paper, itโs not easy reading, but we are in the Premier League where every game is of such a high standard that your pre-season has to mirror that, and I believe we have done that this year.
The Cherries will remain in Spain next week before their next game against another La Liga side in Levante on Friday.
The Cherries then return to home soil and have announced back-to-back away fixtures to two Championship outfits, with games against Bristol City and Nottingham Forest.
The first will be played on Friday 27th July, the second less than 24 hours later on Saturday 28th July.
In recent seasons this has proved to be a deliberate tactic of the management at the Cherries with the squad split between the two fixtures, giving players longer playing time ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign.
Another friendly has now been confirmed โ

Your sayโฆ
Why donโt they just play these games behind closed doors if they donโt want people there? This happens every time. They are taking the **** out of their own fans time and time again. โ Join the conversation, click here.
