AFC Bournemouth rounded off their pre-season training camp in Portugal with a last-minute defeat to Primeria Liga side Braga.

Cherries head coach Scott Parker opted to get 70-minutes into the tank of many of his players, before making a full change to his side for the final 20-minutes.

In the absence of AFC Bournemouth captain Lloyd Kelly, Colombia international midfielder Jefferson Lerma captained the side. Lewis Cook was joined in the centre of the park by new signing Joe Rothwell and Philip Billing.

Mark Travers was in goal with Chris Mepham, James Hill, Adam Smith and Jordan Zemura taking defensive positions with Dominic Solanke and Ryan Christie in attacking roles.

On 70 minutes, Lossl, Genesini, Stacey, Greenwood, Sadi, Lowe, Stanislas, Marcondes, Anthony, Dembele, Moore all came on.

Dominic Solanke was on the scoresheet again, hopefully, a sign of taking some good form into the start of the upcoming 2022/23 Premier League campaign.

Interesting that the line-up and highlights seem to heavily suggest we lined up with three at the back again, really feel as though this will be the go-to set-up for this season.

The highlights looked pretty promising, seems like it was quite an even game and that we created some good opportunities.

The big worry from the evening is that the only first-team regular other than David Brooks and Ryan Fredericks not to feature was Lloyd Kelly. If he’s injured in any way then we are well and truly in trouble, especially given that it looks like we might want to play with three centre-backs. – Join the conversation, click here.
