AFC Bournemouth have been linked with three potential signings following the opening of the transfer window.

The Cherries are reportedly interested in Liverpool duo Mamadou Sakho and Joe Gomez and Olympiakos defender Omar Elabdellaoui.

The link to Elabdellaoui came via ESPN who have linked West Ham United, Hull City and the Cherries to the 25 year old Norweigen international, who has previously come through the youth system at Manchester City.

Elabdellaoui is reportedly versatile and can play at either right back or right wing and has 23 appearances for his country.

The Daily Mail have linked both Mamadou Sakho and Joe Gomez with a potential move to Dean Court.

Jordon Ibe and Brad Smith both made the move from Anfield to the south coast during the summer, Ibe joined for a club record fee in the region of £13million, whilst Smith joined for a figure around £3million.

But following those permanent acquisitions, the moves for Sakho or Gomez would be a short term move.

The Mail have reported that…

‘Howe will ask Liverpool about the possibility of taking outcast Mamadou Sakho or teenager Joe Gomez on loan for the rest of the season.’

The report however added…

‘Sakho has been frozen out by Jurgen Klopp but earns £80,000 a week which Bournemouth would be unwilling to pay in full.’
