AFC Bournemouth lift the Championship trophy in dramatic style.

AFC Bournemouth all but secured promotion to the Premier League on Monday night at Dean Court.

A 3-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers had put the Cherries three points clear with a significantly better goal difference.

Over 4,000 AFC Bournemouth supporters travelled to The Valley to enjoy promotion to the Premier League and they also still held hope that they could bring back the Championship trophy in the process.

Two goals from Matt Ritchie either side of a Harry Arter goal secured a 3-0 victory over Charlton, but it was Sheffield Wednesday’s goal in the 91st minute against Watford which was met with the biggest cheer of the afternoon.

That goal stole a share of the points for Wednesday against Watford and allowed the Cherries to leapfrog Watford back to the top of the table on the final day of the season.
