AFC Bournemouth have disappointed some sections of the Cherries supporters with the late announcement of the sides final pre-season friendly of the summer.

On Tuesday evening, the Cherries confirmed that they would be travelling to France on Saturday for a game against Angers SCO.

A brief statement on afcb.co.uk read…

‘With a venue now confirmed and information available to be released after a late rearrangement, the club are now able to confirm that Eddie Howe`s men will face the Ligue 1 side at the Rives du Thouet Stadium in Saumur, at 6pm local time.

Tickets are available on the gate, with prices at 15 euros for the terraces and 10 euros for ambulatory supporters.

However travel costs will now be considerably more expensive, with just three working days notice for supporters to plan the trip.

I haven’t been to an away friendly this year but I have been to two out of the last three European friendlies. I had also deliberately not booked a holiday this summer because I wanted to do it again this year hence why I’ve been moaning about the lack of communication for months.

Why defend the indefensible? It’s a f*cking shambles and it is the club treating the supporters as an inconvenience.
