AFC Bournemouth reserves host Crawley Town in the Football Combination Southern Section this (Tuesday) afternoon.
Kick off at Dean Court is 2pm and entry is free.
Cherries defender Gary Bowles is expected to be involved in the game, after he was given the all clear to play in reserve fixtures whilst still on loan at Dorchester by the FA.
AFC Bournemouth reserves manager Ryan Garry is also expected to name first team members Shwan Jalal, Paddy Hester, Dan Strugnell, Stephane Zubar, Shaun Cooper, Shaun MacDonald, Mark Molesley, Charlie Sheringham and Michael Symes in the squad.
AFC Bournemouth are currently bottom of the Football Combination Southern Section after losing their first four fixtures.
Garry told afcb.co.uk…
‘We haven’t had a reserve game in a while and we are looking forward to it, we will be putting out a strong side and we are hoping to perform well.
‘It’s come at the right time with us having a free week if you like, but it gives us the opportunity to bring back a few players who have been missing through injury over the past few weeks. There’s also the chance for the likes of Michael Symes and Charlie Sheringham to play 90 minutes…’
‘…Shaun’s (MacDonald) had a frustrating time because the injury has dragged on through no fault of his own, he’s a very good player and his attitude has been spot on, as have all the lads have been injured. Hopefully he can come through it with no problems and build on it in the coming weeks.’
