AFC Bournemouth have approached Premier League leaders Chelsea regarding the availability of former England and Chelsea captain John Terry.
The Cherries have had their defensive options heavily weakened over the past week.
First, AFC Bournemouth captain Simon Francis was harshly sent off against Arsenal and received a suspension.
Chelsea then recalled Nathan Ake early from his season long loan spell on the south coast and summer signing Marc Wilson picked up an injury against Millwall in the FA Cup.
That has left AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe short of numbers going into this weekend’s fixture away at Hull City.
According to Sky Sports…
‘Bournemouth have enquired about the possibility of taking Chelsea captain John Terry on loan until the end of the season’.
Terry has won the Premier League title four times, the FA Cup five times, the League Cup three times and both the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League once.
The 36 year old was close to leaving Chelsea 12 months ago when he announced that he would not be signing a new contract at Stamford Bridge.
However new manager Antonio Conte not only gave Terry a new one year deal he also announced that he would remain as captain.
But despite the public backing, Terry has struggled for regular football this season with his first start since October coming in the FA Cup against Peterborough United (Terry was sent off).

can’t stand the bloke and each game he seems to get slower and slower.
On a positive note though being around our relatively inexperienced CBs on a daily basis would be a very good thing IMO. – Join the conversation here.
