AFC Bournemouth have completed the signing of Swindon Town winger Matt Ritchie ahead of the January transfer window closing on Thursday.
The Daily Echo‘s Neil Perrett wrote on Twitter earlier this (Wednesday) afternoon that the Cherries had made an offer of around £500,000 but faced competition from Championship sides Crystal Palace, Bolton, Bristol City and Charlton.
Swindon Town manager Paolo Di Canio recently said Matt Ritchie was not for sale, however with Swindon facing financial difficulties and a club takeover the Cherries bid was accepted.
Personal terms were later agreed on Wednesday evening with Ritchie set to sign a three and a half year deal.
