Ahead of AFC Bournemouth’s trip to Rotherham on Saturday for the Championship fixture, just a couple of short weeks since the FA Cup tie, we once again spoke to Vital Rotherham about what to expect.

With a special thanks to Caz from Vital Rotherham who took the time again to answer our questions.

OK, second meeting within a couple of weeks. What did you make of the FA Cup clash especially with the Cherries making ten changes from the regular Championship squad?

‘We knew that Bournemouth would make changes but it made us Millers feel really great to know you hadn’t got your ‘first team regulars’ in the side and still managed to blow us away! I thought we were doing well until a minute before half-time! No idea what Steve Evans said to the lads during the half-time team talk but whatever it was I hope he doesn’t say it again! We were awful in the second half weren’t we – we didn’t even look like we were trying, which is the annoying thing.

‘I know we can now say ‘well the FA Cup would have been a distraction’ but you always want to win at home don’t you? Did 5-1 flatter you? No, not on our second half showing I don’t think it did.

Will Rotherham’s side have changed much since the FA Cup match?

‘I hope so! We have three loanees who will probably start in Jack Barmby, Adam Hammill and Danny Ward.

‘Up to now I’m not sure if Reece James has gone back to Manchester United or not, if so then we may start Joe Skarz or bring in another left-back. I am expecting at least one more in before the weekend, but, we learn with Rotherham United it might not happen!

What do you expect from the league game?

‘I am expecting us to try for ninety minutes and not just forty-five. I also expect there to be a much bigger crowd than at the FA Cup game.

If we get any new information from Dorset Police we will add it here.
