AFC Bournemouth’s pre-season plans have begun to take shape with three friendlies announced against Portsmouth, Reading and Cardiff City.

The match against Portsmouth will be played at Fratton Park on Saturday 23rd July.

The game will be a benefit game for former Republic of Ireland midfielder Alan McLoughlin, with The News reporting that ‘the visitors have shown their class by donating their half of the gate receipts to McLoughlin`s benefit fund.

To clarify, the game is ‘A full first team fixture’ It’s a competitive pre season game for both @officialpompey & @afcbournemouth

Tickets will be available on the gate, priced at £10 for adults, £5 for seniors (62+), young persons (18-22) and just £2 for juniors (Under 17’s).

Anyone heard anything? Last year the Philadelphia Union CEO was spotted at the Bolton game and the announcement came on June 1.
