James Hayter missed a 86th minute penalty to keep the Cherries on level terms at the final whistle with vistors Blackpool.

The Cherries took an early lead in the 4th minute after Brett Pitman nodded in for his first ever league goal after Portsmouth loanee Daryl Fordyce saw his shot saved by the on-rushing Lee Jones.

Blackpool also saw chances presented to them, and their equaliser came after 61 mintues, striker John Murphy lashing past Gareth Stewart into the back of the net from 15 yeards.

But it was Hayter’s late crack against the bar from the penalty spot that decided the final score and keep the Cherries 14th in the League One table.
