Celtic target has other options

AFC Bournemouth striker Lys Mousset appears to have a couple of options for him to mull over this summer.

The first is to consider whether he can break through into the Cherries first team squad on a regular basis in the Premier League.

Callum Wilson and Joshua King are the first choice options for Eddie Howe when available with England Under-21 international Dom Solanke as a back-up. Can Mousset realise his undoubted potential or would he prefer a move away from the south coast in hunt of regular first team football?

Scottish giants Celtic have previously had a transfer bid rejected by the Cherries according to reports and now Turkey Super Lig side Göztepe could be interested in a loan move.

Sport Witness quoting Izmir based newspaper Yeni Asir have reported…

“Goztepe president Mehmet Sepil has reportedly held talks with the player’s agent, and he could now make an offer to loan.

The report however also highlighted the key fact that Mousset’s current contract with AFC Bournemouth is set to expire after the 2019/20 campaign and thus “a loan move would appear highly unlikely unless there’s a renewal beforehand.”

Your say…
