The game at home against Luton Town main talking point was the controversial referee decision in the 26th minute of the game with the sending off of Jefferson Lerma and the Cherries reduced to 10 men from then on. The club has appealed the decision. AFCB were finally beaten 0-1 by a well-taken goal by Dewsbury-Hall in the 67th minute.

Our next game is away to Derby County on Tuesday night with an earlier 6 pm start, which is live on Sky. The last time we played Derby County (the Rams) was last October at Dean Court in a 1-1 draw and their manager was then Phillip Cocu. He parted company with the club last November and has now been permanently replaced by Wayne Rooney. This will be Rooney’s first job as a manager, following in the footsteps of Frank Lampard who took his first steps in management with this club, before leaving after one season to be the Chelsea manager. Derby County with Lampard in charge finished in 6th place in his season in charge and the last play-off place. They lost out on promotion to Aston Villa in the final.

In his first game as the new permanent manager, Wayne Rooney’s team lost at home against fellow relegation strugglers Rotherham United 0-1. On their previous seven visits to Derby, Rotherham had lost eight times and previous to this game had lost their last seven away Championship games.

Since we last played the Rams at Dean Court, at home they have had one win and that was a 2-0 win against Swansea City. They have drawn 1-1 against Wycombe Wanderers and Coventry City and 0-0 with Stoke City. After their away game against AFCB, they lost both following home games, 0-1 to Queens Park Rangers and 0-2 against Barnsley. Also lost 0-1 to Preston North End and the game mentioned above from Saturday. Away from home this season they have W 3, D 3, L 5.

The last time the Cherries visited their ground was in our Championship winning promotion season in 2014-15, AFCB lost 2-0, also lost the only other Championship game (2013-14) there as well 0-1.

In all our league visits to Derby, AFCB have W 1, D 0, L 3. In all competitions, AFCB have W2, D 3, L 5.

Tom Lawrence will miss the game on Tuesday after having a setback with injury during training and Wayne Rooney said the player hasn’t trained enough and needs to buildup his fitness.

At time of writing (Sunday) it is not known if the appeal over the red card Jefferson Lerma received will be heard and if he will be available for selection for Tuesday night game. Will Danjuma or Mepham be available for selection after injuries?

This could be the game to get back on track and winning ways, Dominic Solanke and Josh King are our best chance of getting a goal.
