High winds from Storm Eunice caused stadium structural damage and resulted in our Friday night home game against Nottingham Forest to be postponed. So now we are on the road again, to South Wales, to play Swansea City on Tuesday night at 7.45 pm being shown live on Sky Sports Arena. The Cherries will be looking to their tenth away win this season after taking 6 points in their last two away wins.
Swansea City had finished in a play-off place for the last two seasons under their previous manager Steve Cooper and last season reached the final, only to lose out on that third spot into the Premier League to Brentford. This season under new manager Russel Martin with results so far this season the Swans are a long way off a play-off spot. Their away form has let them down.
Since our home game against the Swans back in November, at home, they have beaten Preston and Blackburn Rovers 1-0 and in their last game against Bristol City, they won 3-1. They drew 1-1 against Blackpool and lost 2-3 against Reading, 1-4 against Nottingham Forest and 0-1 against Luton Town. Their most recent game was away against Sheffield United, United won 4-0. Swansea City are in 17th position after 31 games with 38 points, 25 points from 15 home games.
Our last visit to Wales to play Swansea City was in December 2020, the game finished in a 0-0 draw.
In all our league away games against the Swans, AFCB have W 6, D 8, L14.
In all competitions, AFCB have W 25, D 13, L 23.

Swansea City Team News
In the January transfer window, they signed goalkeeper Andrew Fisher from MK Dons and defender Nathanael Ogbeta from Shrewsbury Town. On loan, they signed three players, defenders Cyrus Christie from Fulham, Finley Burns from Manchester City and midfielder Hannes Wolf from RB Leipzig.
Nathanael Ogbeta and Kyle Naughton have been out injured and neither are expected to be fit for Tuesday night. Otherwise, they seem to have a fit squad to pick from.
Swansea City Player To Watch
Jamie Paterson their attacking midfield player has scored 8 league goals and is leading with 5 assists.
Joel Piroe their 22-year-old Dutch striker signed for £1 million at the beginning of the season, started off scoring on a regular basis, then went 7 games recently without a goal, but broke that sequence in his last home game and is their leading scorer with 12 goals and has 4 assists.
AFCB Team News
Ryan Christie will miss this game from comments from Scott Parker before the Forest game. Garry Cahill might still be a doubt, but Ethan Laird may be available. Adam Smith is back training and hopefully will be available soon if needed. Jefferson Lerma is suspended.
AFCB Player To Watch
As at Blackpool think Siriki Dembele could be the player to turn a game and is a potential match-winner.
The Referee
Darren Bond in charge of this game.
The last time we had him was last season in the home game against Reading and two away games against Queens Park Rangers and Blackburn Rovers.

From where we are, 1.5 points a game for the rest of the season would mean one of the chasing pack has to do something exceptional to chase us down.
It’s never that simple though. A few poor results and the pressure will start piling on. Equally, string a few good results together now and we should be able to play with some freedom.
As much as I didn’t enjoy the performance against Blackpool, if we can somehow grind out a win against Swansea in another any which way manner it does set us up nicely.
After the weekend’s result, they might be a wounded animal so we have to expect they’ll put up a good fight.
Fingers crossed Parker shuffles the pack correctly. – Join the conversation, click here.
