It really is starting to feel like this AFC Bournemouth side is a Premier League team not only for now but also for the future as well. Looking at the starting team against Watford:

Asmir Begovic – 31 years-old

Simon Francis – 33 years-old
Steve Cook – 27 years-old
Nathan Ake – 23 years-old
Adam Smith – 27 years-old

David Brooks – 21 years-old
jefferson Lerma – 23 years-old
Lewis Cook – 21 years-old
Ryan Fraser – 24 years-old

Joshua King – 26 years-old
Callum Wilson – 26 years-old

Everyone there could easily still be a Premier League starter in five seasons time apart from Francis and that midfield in particular looks to have many, many years in it (if we can keep hold of them!).

Even Francis is a little bit of a fudge. He’s played well the last two matches and deserves to keep his place but it seems clear Adam Smith is now in front of him to get into the side and so if Diego Rico (25 years-old) can gel into our style and get into the side then… we’re set for some time.

The way Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall have evolved the team is really looking more and more masterful all the time. Yet another chapeau in their direction.

Your say…

It’s very interesting to see that. You forget how young Wilson, S.Cook, Smith, King, Fraser are because it feels like they’ve been around years. – Join the conversation, click here.
