AFC Bournemouth goalkeeper Artur Boruc was delighted to be voted as the Cherries fans player of the season for the 2016/17 Premier League campaign.

The 37 year old, who retired from international duty with Poland during the campaign enjoyed an excellent second season in the Premier League with AFC Bournemouth.

Last month it was announced that Boruc had triggered an appearance related contract extension.

Boruc told afcb.co.uk

‘It means a lot, I need to say thank you to all the supporters who gave their votes to me and the Polish community all around Bournemouth, I’m really pleased to get the award.

‘I don’t have any particular plans for the summer now, I just want to stay fit and see what that will bring to me.’

Your Say…

Well deserved although not my personal choice.
Suspect he was in most people’s top 3 along with Cook and King?

Nevertheless, well deserved and would have no issues with him being our Number 1 next season.

Perhaps a full season with the young lad from Sheff Utd learning from him? Did cost £1 million which for a goalkeeper who isn’t 19 until tomorrow is still quite big money.
