Bond faces his critics

AFC Bournemouth manager Kevin Bond faced the supporters at a Supporters Trust forum on Wednesday evening.

The Cherries manager had been under fire, following poor run of performances and results and in opening the forum, he explained that he wanted the event so he could address fans, who had criticised him over various mediums, including internet message boards.

Although the majority of the evening passed by with a variety of interesting and informative discussions, varying from injured players, the changes over the summer regarding players departing, loan players and the size of the pitch.

Bond was also questioned over his decisions to sign ‘golden oldies’, the direction he was taking the team and the move to sign Asmir Begovic.

Bond gave a frank and animated response, admitting that he lives and dies by his own decisions and would also walk if he believed he had failed, showing a somewhat different side to how some supporters may have previously seen him.

Whether you agree with his decisions or not, anyone at the evening would have left with no doubts for his passion for the game.
