AFC Bournemouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic believes that the performance against Tottenham Hotspur will be enough to see the Cherries fortunes change.
AFC Bournemouth have lost six of their opening eight games at the start of the 2016/17 campaign.
The Cherries currently sit in the relegation places in 19th place, with Crystal Palace, who beat Premier League champions Chelsea on Saturday, the only side with a worse record in this seasons top flight.
AFC Bournemouth have some key games on the horizon with a trip to Stoke City on Saturday, followed by the visit of Chelsea to Dean Court to end October.
In November the Cherries play Newcastle United, Huddersfield Town, Swansea City and Burnley.
Following the game Begovic told afcb.co.uk…
‘…We worked hard, stuck to the game plan and were generally really disciplined. We had some chances, they had theirs and, unfortunately for us, one of theirs went in.
“That`s the way it`s going for us at the moment. We`ve not had so much luck in front of goal but we have to keep going because we`re playing really well and we`ve got to keep these performances up.
“I think we`ve got to keep plugging away. These things can turn if we keep performing how we did today.
“I was really pleased with the commitment, effort and desire so if we keep doing as we are then something we change.
Mixed emotions today,I’m so used to us playing attacking football, that I hated to see us play so defensive.
That said our last two games away to Spurs have been men against boys,so it was nice not to see us get humped again.
I think we should have gone gung hoe when we conceded but maybe it would have turned into another thrashing if we did. – Join the conversation here.
