AFC Bournemouth are reportedly interested in re-signing goalkeeper Asmir Begovic from Chelsea.
Now 29 and an international for Bosnia-Herzegovina, Begovic first made the move to Dean Court in 2007 on loan from Portsmouth.
Under former manager Kevin Bond, Begovic made 9 appearances during his loan spell which ended following two costly errors away to Swindon Town and at home to Carlisle United.
He ended the season on loan with Yeovil, before another loan move with Ipswich.
Begovic was sold by Portsmouth to Stoke in 2010 for £3.25million, Begovic went on to make 160 appearances in the Premier League before a £8million move to Chelsea in 2015.
Begovic has found himself as a back-up ‘keeper for Chelsea and has made just 17 Premier League appearances for the Premier League leaders, with his last league appearance in May 2016.
The Daily Telegraph have reported that the Cherries have made an offer to sign Begovic on a permanent deal during this transfer window.
The report stated that…
‘Bournemouth`s first offer for Begovic was in the region of £10 million that Chelsea declined’.
The report added…
‘Should Bournemouth fail to agree a deal with Chelsea this month, then there is a strong possibility they will try again at the end of the season.
The Mirror have added that Chelsea have named their price…
‘Chelsea tell Bournemouth they must pay £12million to sign back-up goalkeeper Asmir Begovic

£10 million has apparently been rejected according to that Telegraph article. Briefly looked, £10 million would be the 10/11th most expensive goalkeeper of all time…! Not sure we should go much above that figure.. – Join the conversation here.
