AFC Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter will have a scan on his calf injury later today (Tuesday).

The Cherries midfielder picked up the injury during the 3-2 victory over West Ham United on Saturday.

Arter told the Daily Echo

“It was probably the one disappointing thing to come out of the game. I will have a scan and, fingers crossed, it is not too bad.”

Both the Cherries and the Republic Of Ireland will be hoping the injury isn’t a serious one.

On Monday, Arter was called up to the provisional 39 man Republic Of Ireland squad by manager Martin O’Neill for the World Cup qualifier against Wales and Iceland.

Your Say…

Well done Harry but I wouldn’t expect anything less now.

I don’t really remember Eunan O’Kane making it into squad whilst he was in the Championship with us. Pretty sure it was after we got promoted that he was back on their radar. However, he seems to have held onto his spot despite dropping back down.
