AFC Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter is reportedly in talks over an improved contract.
The Daily Echo have stated that the Republic Of Ireland international ‘is currently in talks regarding a new contract with the club.
The 27 year old’s current deal at Dean Court is believed to have at least two years remaining.
AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has also confirmed that Arter’s pre-season will have to be closely monitored as the midfielder continues to suffer from a ‘nagging ankle complaint’.
Arter missed the final game of the 2016/17 Premier League season against Leicester City, but did feature for his adopted country against both Uruguay and Austria.
Howe told the Daily Echo…
“I think Harry is experienced enough to know his own body.
“He declared himself fit for the internationals and did very well in those games so I had no problem with that and we expect him to join in with training.
“We anticipate he will be 100 per cent fit by the time the season starts. We might have to manage him slightly during pre-season but we don`t see any long-term worries with his fitness.”
