AFC Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter has agreed a new deal at Dean Court.

The Cherries central midfielder had been contracted until the summer of 2015 albeit with one year option, however his new improved contract means he will remain on the south coast until the end of the 2017/18 season.

Arter joins Charlie Daniels and Matt Ritchie in recently agreeing new terms at Dean Court.

AFC Bournemouth chief executive Neill Blake told the Daily Echo

“We are delighted to have agreed terms with Harry because he is another very important and well-liked member of the squad.

“He is also a major asset to this football club and one of the main parts of our remit is to ensure we keep our best players as we look to keep building for the future.

“Harry and Matt Ritchie are key players in what we are striving to achieve so to have tied them both to long contracts in the space of a week has been great business.

“The manager has made it perfectly clear that he wants to keep the squad together and improve it and this is another huge statement of intent by the club.
