Portsmouth manager Michael Appleton is hoping to extend Cherries striker Wesley Thomas’ loan spell.
The 25 year old joined Portsmouth on an emergency 30 day loan at the end of September and scored on his debut against Scunthorpe.
He went on to score his second of the season last weekend against Crewe and has at least three more games with his adopted club to continue his goal scoring form.
Thomas’ loan spell with Portsmouth ends after the Sheffield United game and Pompey are keen to extend his loan spell at Fratton Park.
Appleton told the Portsmouth News…
‘…We will ask Bournemouth this week.
‘They had a good win on Saturday so we will start politely asking the questions to see what the scenario would be come the end of the month and take it from there.
‘Hopefully they have enough in their armoury as it is. They certainly have a big enough squad, anyway…’
