AFCB visit the Etihad stadium where our opponents are top of the league Manchester City. They have a new manager this season, Josep ‘Pep` Guardiola who has an impressive record having won the Champions League twice, plus other trophies as manager of Barcelona, he was successful at his last club Bayern Munich having won the Bundesliga title three times and dominated that league.

Big spending Manchester City have brought in defender John Stones from Everton in a £47.5 million deal. They have also signed 20-year-old German winger Leroy Sane for £37 million from Schalke. Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus was signed for £27 million from Palmeiras, the 19-year-old will see out the season in Brazil and join City in January. Other players brought in are midfield player Ilkay Gundogan from Borussia Dortmund for £21 million, Chile goalkeeper Claudio Bravo from Barcelona for £17.1m, Spanish forward Nolito from Celta Vigo for £13.8 million, plus one or two other signings.

‘Pep` Guardiola has had a very good start at Manchester City, winning all of their four Premier League games, beating Sunderland and West Ham at home and Stoke and in the big Manchester derby last Saturday, they beat United.

It looks a daunting task for AFCB after the scintillating first half performance by City, who had United on the back foot for most of the first half with their fast slick passing. The game was more even in the second period. City have conceded one goal against the teams they have played in all their Premier League games so far this season. Against United the Chilean ‘keeper on his City debut in the Premier League, looked uncertain at times and his error led to United`s goal, he also had one or two dodgy moments and against quick forwards (like ours), he could be caught out in his own goal area which happened last Saturday when he didn`t pick up or clear the ball quickly enough.

Manchester City Team News:

Sergio Aguero will miss the game through suspension.

The entire squad will also have had one days less rest following their rearranged Champions League fixture.

Player to watch: Kevin De Bruyne

After seeing his performance at Old Trafford last Saturday against Manchester United, especially the first half, it has to be Kevin De Bruyne, he scored and then assisted Manchester City`s second goal, hit the inside of the post in the second half and looked really sharp and dangerous every time he had the ball.

AFC Bournemouth Team News:

Arsenal and England midfielder Jack Wilshere reportedly had a scan on an injured ankle on Monday, but did join training on Tuesday so looks to be ok.

Player to watch: Callum Wilson

After his winning goal against WBA, that will have given Callum Wilson a real boost and he will be looking to add to that now. Every game he is looking sharper and if he can hit the form he showed before his injury last season, he could make a big difference for our team.
