AFC Bournemouth goalkeeper Ryan Allsop was delighted to agree a move to League One side Coventry City.

The 22 year old who has been second choice ‘keeper at Dean Court since the arrival of Lee Camp made the move to Coventry as part of the deal which saw striker Callum Wilson move to the Cherries.

Allsop has agreed a half season loan with the League One outfit and will fight for a first team place during his temporary switch which is initially set to end in January.

Allsop told ccfc.co.uk

‘I was delighted to get the deal done so I can come here and get games for the club. It is a massive club and the set-up here is unbelievable.

‘I’ve been really impressed with the quality of the squad. The players like to receive the ball in tight spaces and they’re always looking to test each other.

‘Lee (Burge) is a top lad and from what I’ve seen, he is a really good goalkeeper. He works really hard and I think it’ll be good competition for both of us.

‘We both want to claim the No.1 spot and I’m sure we will push ourselves to get better over the coming weeks.’
