AFC Bournemouth’s Chelsea loanee Nathan Ake has denied all knowledge of his potential recall to his parent club.

Last week it was reported that Chelsea could be set to cut short Nathan Ake’s loan spell with AFC Bournemouth.

The Dutch Under 21’s international is an extremely versatile player, able to operate at left back, centre back and in central midfield.

However, he is yet to nail down a regular first team position.

Over the first few months of his time on the south coast, he has been limited to just two starts in the EFL Cup against Morecambe and Preston and two Premier League substitute appearances against West Ham United and Crystal Palace.

This was apparently something that parent club Chelsea, according to the Daily Star were not happy with.

The report stated that…

‘Chelsea are unhappy with Nathan Ake’s lack of playing time at Bournemouth’

Adding…

‘Chelsea have the option to recall Ake in January and send him elsewhere.

Following his first Premier League start for AFC Bouremouth in the 1-0 win away to Stoke City, where Ake scored the winner, he was asked about the Daily Star story.

He told the Daily Echo

“I don`t know where that comes from, It came from nothing. I ignore it and focus on what I have to do in training – and focus on Bournemouth.

“This is the feeling you want after games you`ve played. You win and go home on the coach feeling happy. That`s what I`ve missed and now it`s back so I`m delighted.”

Ake – MotM?

For me yes, to come into such a settled unit and be such a positive influence was an outstanding performance.

Great to see and I suspect he may be hard to shift from the side after that.
