The Cherries have made their first signing of the season, Jordan Holmes will be a member of the club in the youth team.

The 16 year-old Australian played in a tour arranged last season and was subsequently invited to join Neil Moss and the first team goalkeepers for two weeks training over Easter. Having impressed sufficiently, the club have offered the youngster a two-year deal to be a part of the youth team.

Goalkeeping coach, Neil Moss, is glad to have him on board, as he told afcb.co.uk:

‘Jordan came to us at Easter for two weeks and did very well and we decided to offer him the chance to join our academy next season. He had offers from Premier League clubs to go on trial after playing against them on the tour, but he liked everything about the club and how he was treated here. He`s only been a goalkeeper for a couple of years and there`s room for improvement, but he`s very athletic and played some men`s football which will stand him in good stead. I’m looking forward to working with him and hopefully between us all we can make a really good goalkeeper out of him.’
