AFC Bournemouth have this morning announced the signed of attacking midfielder Danny Hollands on a 2 year deal.

Danny who is 20 years old and is 6ft tall, has come through the youth system at Chelsea where he has been since he was eight and has been a regular in their Reserve Team over the last 2 to 3 years.

On occasions he has also captained both the youth team and the reserve’s.

He was on loan at Torquay at the end of last season and played 11 games for them, scoring in their 4-0 defeat of Stockport County.

The Plainmoor outfit, QPR and Millwall were rumoured to be chasing the play-maker, Torquay Chairman Mike Bateson said last week…

‘Danny Hollands returns to the UK on Monday (26th) and we are trying to set up a meeting for later next week.

There could be a flurry of activity in the signing market next week but nothing is concrete until the signature is on the contract.’

But Hollands has decided to sign for the Cherries and he becomes the fourth new signing over the summer.
