AFC Bournemouth have released a statement in regards to ticket sales for the Cherries home match against Manchester United and the current position on supporters away priority points.

Following the end of the Cherries maiden Premier League season, AFC Bournemouth undertook a ticketing system upgrade.

However ‘unfortunately, two issues … have come to light with match ticket sales as a result of this upgrade’, according to a statement released by the club.

Due to this, there will be no online ticket sales for the home match against Manchester United on Sunday 14th August (1.30pm kick off).

The statement added that there is also ‘an issue with allocating away points’ and that ‘the club is working hard to resolve this in order to commence sales of our first away game at West Ham’ on Sunday 21st August (4.30pm kick off).

The club concluded by saying…

We apologise for any inconvenience caused to supporters – please be assured that the club are working closely with our ticketing system supplier to resolve both these issues as soon as possible.

I’ve been fairly patient with the ticket office as they are usually very very helpful.

The ticketing system however, (which I see as something separate to the nice office people) is diabolical. This really is inexcusable and totally impractical for what will be one of the most in demand games of the season.
