AFC Bournemouth captain Miles Addison believes that the Cherries travel arrangements for Saturday’s FA Cup tie with Carlisle are a big bonus for the squad.

Whilst hundreds of Cherries supporters will be making the 714 mile round trip from Dean Court to Brunton Park via the AFCB Vital sponsored supporters coaches, the Cherries team will be flying up to Newcastle and back to aid their preparation.

The fixture list has handed AFC Bournemouth three consecutive away ties, with the game against Carlisle sandwiched between games at Bury and Scunthorpe.

Addison told afcb.co.uk

“We are flying there and back, which some people may feel is extravagant, but we want to give ourselves the best chance of getting through the tie.

“We did the journey back from there by coach last month and it took eight hours. Flying there was a big bonus then and it is again now. Preparation is the key, so going by plane as opposed to travelling on a coach that could take up to ten hours can only be good…’
