So far this season AFC Bournemouth have spent £13million on Bristol City defender Lloyd Kelly, £4million on Luton Town defender Jack Stacey and £15million on Huddersfield Town midfielder Phillip Billing.

The Cherries are also expected to announce the signing of Club Brugge winger Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld for a fee of £13.7million

Meanwhile, there have also been some departures for big money with Tyrone Mings making the switch to Aston Villa for £26.5million and Lys Mousset moving to Sheffield United for £10million. Connor Mahoney has also left Dean Court for Millwall for a fee of £1million.

Giving AFC Bournemouth a net spend total of £8.2million so far for this 2019 summer transfer window.

But if the following speculation is pulled off, the Cherries spending could reach in-excess of £30million, as AFC Bournemouth have been linked with a £25million move for Liverpool winger Harry Wilson.

British tabloid newspaper The Sun have reported that not only are AFC Bournemouth interested in the 22-year-old Wales international, Eddie Howe is also in “pole position” ahead of both Aston Villa and Newcastle United to land the winger.

The fee of £25million may sound excessive for someone that has no Premier League experience to-date, but 16 goals and 4 assists for Derby County in the Championship last season shows his potential, as he played a key role in Frank Lampard’s side reaching the Championship play-off final at Wembley.

He has also scored 7 goals and 3 assists during a previous loan spell at Hull City and has looked very impressive for Wales.

But now Liverpool are reportedly ready to sell Wilson as obtaining regular football with the UEFA Champions League winners is unlikely, despite impressing during pre-season friendlies.

Loan with an obligation to buy would 100% make sense here. Could cover for Brooks whilst injured and clearly we will need someone with Fraser on his way out next summer, not to mention Ibe out of contract too. Would give him a year to get used to the way we play and wouldn’t incur the cost until next summer. We clearly need someone else in this position both short and long term and that would tick all the boxes. Really hope we push for another winger before the deadline even with the potential signing from Club Brugge. – Join the conversation, click here.
